Introduction

The development projectsareimplemented tobringsocio-economic changesinthelivesofpeople. Managing a development project entails complexes to tasks of managing people, resources and stakeholders to deliver desired results. There are many different methods of managing projects but Results Based Management is the most widely used Project Planning and Management method among bilateral and multilateral donors, UN agencies, I/NGOs and the Government lead projects. No matter which organization you work or want to work in any sector you like you will need knowledge and skills to designend results and activities of the project; to manage resources and team to deliver those results.

International School of Advanced Studies (ISAS) has been offering this unique course which is the only Results based Project Planning and Management Training Course in Nepal designed for working as well as aspiring professionals in the development cooperation. This course is designed to impart comprehensive knowledge and necessary skills on results based planning and management of development projects. It will help to gain full competence and analytical capabilities required for designing and effectively implementing development projects.

Who is the course for?

This PPM course is intended for working or aspiring professionals who want to develop their career in the development sector. Persons from other background willing to develop their knowledge and skill in Project Planning and Management will also benefit from this course. Participants should have minimum of Graduation level study in any discipline.

Six Days Research Workshop

Asian Academy for Peace, Research and Development, established in 2010, has been working for developmental peace in Nepal. This non-profit entity focuses on community development with peace, transformed conflict, inclusive and responsive community development initiatives. It encourages quality research work and professional and scientific writings for research and development initiatives.

About Workshop

Asian Peace Academy has come up with six day Workshop for qualitative and quantitative research, thesis and proposal writing. We provide practical approach in knowing concepts and developing tools and techniques required for research design. We share practical skills and measures those are applied in good proposal, thesis, and report writing.

Through this practice workshop, participants will be capable to:

  • Erode misconceptions and apt with research registers
  • Scope and designing research and develop tools
  • Presenting data and enhance analytical skills
  • Writing, paraphrasing, citing and editing proposal/report

Dr DB Subedi: He has PHD in peace studies from the University of New England, Australia and extensive experience in the field of research.

Mukti Subedi: Mukti is a visiting research fellow at the department of Reconciliation and peacebuilding at Univeersity of Winchester, UK. He has teaching experiences at Colleges and University in Canada, Poland, UK and Nepal.

Anuja Sapkota: Ms. Sapkota is a PhD scholar at Tribhuvan University.
